As a Regional Business Development Manager, you will drive regional growth through new business development, strategic partnerships, and expanding existing client relationships. You will engage with organisations of all sizes, positioning apprenticeships as a valuable and impactful solution aligned to their business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and secure new business opportunities across SME and corporate markets
- Develop and execute regional engagement and sales plans to generate leads and apprenticeship opportunities
- Build and manage a strong pipeline to achieve and exceed revenue and start targets
- Deliver a consultative sales approach, tailoring apprenticeship solutions to client needs
- Demonstrate return on investment and business impact of apprenticeship programmes
- Provide expert advice on apprenticeships, including funding and levy guidance
- Build and maintain strong client relationships at all levels, ensuring an excellent customer experience
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless onboarding and delivery
- Accurately manage CRM systems and complete required administrative processes
- Stay informed on market trends, funding changes, and industry developments
- Ensure compliance with data protection, safeguarding, and internal policies
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven experience in B2B and/or B2C sales, within training or apprenticeships
- Strong track record of achieving sales targets and winning new business
- Experience managing and growing client accounts
- Ability to engage and influence senior decision-makers
- Knowledge of sales methodologies such as SPIN or Challenger
- Commercial awareness and understanding of labour market trends
- Familiarity with apprenticeship funding and regulatory bodies (desirable)
- Strong IT skills, including CRM systems and Microsoft Office
- Driving licence and ability to travel within the specified region
