We are looking for an Intermediate Electrical Engineer to join our successful Consultancy team based in Eltham, South East London with potential for Project Team Leader responsibilities. The successful candidate should have a progressive outlook to help drive the delivery of our electrical services, collaborating with our architectural, building and quantity surveying groups to deliver projects throughout their life cycle. Current Projects include Blue Light, Education and Corporate Buildings.
Responsibilities
- Help Senior Engineers with project design and delivery.
- Understand client needs and rules, design building services, and keep organised project records.
- Create designs that meet regulations and company standards.
- Work closely with other team members.
- Prepare clear specifications, drawings, and schedules for electrical services.
- Have Senior Engineers check designs before sending out.
- Do site surveys, testing, and commissioning as needed.
- Share design knowledge and help train junior colleagues.
- Assist with cost estimates, planning, and tendering.
- Attend meetings and help with minutes as needed.
- Manage and carry out project tasks each day.
- Lead and manage projects and project teams to ensure successful outcomes.
Qualifications
- Relevant Electrical Engineering Degree.
- Chartered or working towards Chartered status.
- Minimum 2 years post‑qualification experience.
- Experience in a consultancy environment.
- Associate Member of IET or CIBSE.
- Lived in the UK for a minimum of 3 years (due to vetting requirements).
