We have an opportunity for an efficient and friendly Bank Receptionist at our Windmill Care Home in Brixton Hill, London. You will be part of a compassionate and welcoming team providing physical, emotional, and social support to residents. Excelcare is a family‑owned care home group established over 34 years. We provide the highest standards of care to older people with dementia, physical disabilities, and mental health issues. Outstanding care is central to everything we do.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for all visitors, providing a warm welcome.
  • Ensure all visitors sign in and out accurately.
  • Answer telephone calls promptly and deliver messages or transfer calls to the relevant person.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing post.
  • Maintain a neat and tidy reception area at all times.
  • Coordinate with the Home Manager and Administrator to keep reception stationery stocked.
  • Record and report on daily and weekly home updates as advised by the Home Manager.
  • Promote the home, conduct show‑rounds, and support recruitment of new team members.

Requirements:

  • Positive, can‑do approach.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficient in IT applications – Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Previous experience in a customer‑facing or reception role.

  • Working hours: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (minus 1 hour unpaid lunch).
  • Coverage for annual leave, sickness, etc. Monday‑Sunday.
