We are currently looking for Asbestos Surveyors to join our Oracle Solutions business, part of Rock Compliance!

Main Objectives:

  • Safely, professionally deliver required asbestos services and provide the necessary advice to all customers ensuring theirs and others safety from the harmful effects of asbestos.
  • Deliver all asbestos services to the highest standards as set out in current and relevant HSE legislation, in line with UKAS accreditation and company procedural documentation.

Role & Responsibilities (Accountabilities):

  • Surveying: Professional and accurate completion of survey report plans.
  • Professional and accurate completion of asbestos survey reports using Teams including data uploads in a timely manner.
  • Accurately and timely quality check asbestos survey reports and rectify anomalies where required.
  • Client contact to discuss survey report findings, ongoing management of ACM's and additional sales opportunities.
  • Ensure all site & contract related paperwork is collected or prepared from the office in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all equipment & materials are available to complete the survey safely and diligently.
  • Communicate effectively with the client pre-survey, during & post-survey.
  • Completion of site RAMS & identify all project related risks to ensure all H&S risks have been addressed and reported.
  • Be fully trained and competent in use of survey specific equipment including IPAF, PASMA & Confined space.
  • Competently interpret survey scope of works (all survey & property types) to ensure project and client requirements are delivered.
  • Competent & timely delivery of asbestos surveys (all survey & property types) in line with inhouse and UKAS procedures.
  • Where required competent & accurate completion of site paperwork including it being returned to the office in a timely manner.
  • Competent & accurate completion of lab paperwork including Bulk Samples posted in a timely manner.
  • Train and mentor trainee surveyors and less experienced surveyors through leading by example showing the highest standards in all aspects of service delivery.
  • Competently communicate areas of damaged ACM's requiring remedial action with office and client.
  • Where possible, prior to leaving site, advise on best course of action such as containment and air monitoring.
  • Whilst on site, identify and competently upsell other services of business during surveys including air monitoring, training, AMP's etc.
  • Report accidents and incidents in line with company and H&S procedures.

Additional Services:

  • Effective communication with clients on asbestos related contaminated land issues.
  • Competently deliver large- and small-scale asbestos in soils & WAC Testing projects.
  • Competently deliver ad hoc testing services including Anthrax, Density Testing, Lead in Paint etc.
  • Competently deliver Asbestos Awareness Training (AAT), Non-Licensed Training, Duty to Manage Training and refresher to full range of clients.
  • Provide general assistance with the ongoing development and improvement of training courses delivered.
  • Be able to communicate with clients an extensive knowledge and understanding of Asbestos Regulations, Legislation & Guidance documents.
  • Work with clients to develop & implement fully compliant asbestos management plans (AMP's) small to large scale.
  • Produce Priority Risk Assessments (PRA's) for incorporation into AMPs.
  • Undertake asbestos management plan audits, inclusive of identifying recommendations and improvements.
  • Produce bespoke, ad hoc asbestos documents to assist clients to manage asbestos.
  • Aid Q&T Manager with company re-survey requirements as per UKAS procedures.
  • Aid Q&T Manager with quality audits.
  • Identify anomalies and training needs.
  • Provide general assistance to Q&T Manager to ensure the ongoing development of quality within the company and maintenance of UKAS accreditation.
  • Aid with ad hoc site visits and pricing of asbestos surveys and other related services.
  • Attend project prestart meetings and client liaison and sales meetings.
  • Promote the services of the business to generate new business leads and opportunities.
  • Carry out compliance health check audits and recommendations.
  • Assist in the training and mentoring of trainee consultants.
