We currently have an opportunity for a skilled individual who will support our Catering Team in our residential care home for older people in Leicester. The Evington Home is about three miles from Leicester city centre and offers residential care, as well as providing dementia care.
Responsibilities
- Prepare breakfasts for the residents
- Support the cook to prepare and serve lunch to the residents
- Wash up the catering equipment and utensils
- Maintain the general cleanliness of the kitchen and catering equipment
- Ensure all water and other spillages are cleaned up immediately after they occur
- Maintain kitchen records as required by your manager
About you (Qualifications)
- Enjoy working with older people and can empathise with them
- Can operate laundry equipment safely and reliably
- Can work as part of a team to provide an excellent service to our residents
- Be a well-organised, practical and adaptable person
Hours
8 hours per week (2 tea shifts) Shift 15.00 – 19.00 Bank hours are flexible and will be agreed with management.
