All Vigilant Bed Watch Security Officers play a vital role in ensuring that the hospital is welcoming, accessible and, most importantly, a safe environment for patients on a one-to-one basis. You must be able to provide a professional, responsive and observant security presence to ensure full protection of the staff, patients, premises and equipment at all times.
Responsibilities
- The hours available are varied and can be adapted for the correct candidate.
- Shift pattern will consist of days and nights, ideally 4 on 4 off (there is flexibility to offer part-time working and hours to suit around your personal commitments).
Qualifications
- Frontline Door Supervision SIA licence is essential.
- Fully comprehensive 5 year work/education history; including full company names, addresses and landline contact numbers required.
- Must be able to pass an enhanced DBS check.
- Care related experience or qualification would be an advantage.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to interact with patients and show empathy and compassion during bed watching duties.
- Ability to handle typical and crisis situations efficiently and effectively.
- Ability to work shifts up to 12 hours in length.
- Professional manner to deal with difficult, sometimes stressful and physically challenging situations.
- Smart, well-groomed and confident.
- A commitment to providing first‑class customer service is essential.
- Good report writing skills.
