We are contracted to provide permanent operations on behalf of Enfinium at their energy from waste facility at Skelton Grange, Leeds. We have a vacancy for an Operator to work as part of our team on site.

Job Information:

  • Location: Leeds, England, United Kingdom
  • Contract Type: Permanent
  • Salary: £33,368.40 per annum
  • Benefits: Westfield Health, Auto enrolment pension, Life Insurance, Generous holiday entitlement

Schedule:

Work on a rotational basis Monday‑Friday with every 6th Saturday morning part of the rota. All shifts are eight hours long, with early and mid‑day start times.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate mobile plant (including front end loading shovel, telehandler, forklift truck)
  • Coordinate deliveries of waste into the tipping area, ensuring safety compliance is maintained at all times (deliveries arrive by HGV)
  • General cleaning of the tipping area
  • Operate weighbridge
  • Operate the waste crane
  • Accept deliveries of other bulk materials used in the energy from waste process
  • Move skips using a forklift truck
  • Support the daily operational activities of the energy from waste plant
  • Attend training as and when required
  • Comply with all safe working practices as instructed

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Positive attitude & understanding of Health & Safety on an industrial site
  • Experience of or qualified to NPORS (National Plant Operators Registration Scheme) level for the operation of mobile plant (training can be provided)
  • Strong team player
  • Good communicator
  • Preferably, but not essential, possession of recognised safety qualifications (e.g. CITB or IOSH)
  • Ability to learn to operate weighbridge computer software, as necessary
  • Good timekeeping and willingness to work overtime as necessary
