Location: Leeds
Salary: up to £30,000 per annum pro rata for candidates with relevant qualifications and experience. For candidates that are not yet CAVA qualified, we will be fully supportive to achieve this qualification with a starting salary of up to £28,500 per annum pro rata.
Responsibilities
- Schedule and carry out workplace assessments for Dental Nursing learners within required timelines.
- Communicate effectively with practice managers and learners when arranging assessment visits.
- Ensure all relevant clinical treatments are booked and ready for observation.
- Provide constructive and supportive feedback to learners and employers.
- Manage your own assessment diary to maximise assessment opportunities.
- Maintain accurate and timely completion of assessment documentation.
- Support a caseload of learners and prepare them for End Point Assessment (EPA).
- Conduct Health & Safety and Equal Opportunities checks within dental practices.
- Facilitate communication between learners, employers and Tempdent.
- Attend team meetings, handovers and standardisation sessions.
- Work towards agreed targets and KPIs.
- Maintain GDC registration and CPD requirements.
- Promote safeguarding, equality, and best practice across all training environments.
Qualifications
- Qualified GDC registered Dental Nurse.
- Assessor qualification (CAVA or TAQA) or willing to acquire.
- Experience working in dental practice.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule.
- Confident using office software and digital systems.
- Ability to motivate and support learner.
- Experience assessing Dental Nursing qualifications or apprenticeships would be beneficial.
- Teaching or training qualification (AiET or willing to acquire).
- Knowledge of or experience working in work-based learning or apprenticeships.
- Passionate about developing future dental professionals.
- Confident to build strong relationships with learners and employers.
- Able to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
- Confident to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Maintains high professional and clinical standards.
