Responsibilities
- Responsible for monitoring, improving and reporting asset health.
- Work to/Comply with HIS/Drax SHEQ procedures and communicate the safety kick-off to the maintenance team.
- Supervise and lead the maintenance team, ensuring spares are available and works are completed in a safe manner and to the desired standards.
- Diagnose defects and input information into the WMS (Maximo).
- Assist the Maintenance Supervisor with the established planning process.
- Identify and implement opportunities for improvement of asset health.
- Communicate all MMP issues and recommend actions to prevent reoccurrence to the Site Manager.
- Ensure required maintenance of equipment is performed in its operating context and close the permit on completion.
- Carry out PPM as per site schedules.
- Carry out RCM as per site schedules.
- Carry out planned defect repairs on all mechanical and electrical equipment in the HIS Service Delivery scope.
- Attend, diagnose and agree repair process for plant breakdowns.
- Operate workshop equipment and tools.
- Perform site operational tasks in accordance with training, site procedures and supervisor instructions.
- Operate site equipment required for the task (with appropriate training).
- Carry out any other reasonable instruction required to ensure smooth operation of equipment.
- Complete all necessary documents, reports and records.
- Work with the operational department to effectively carry out maintenance work.
- Provide support service to operational plant requirements.
- Identify and implement continuous improvements and innovation.
- Harmonise with other HIS teams and clients.
- Provide full flexibility to carry out required operational duties.
- Collate, collaborate and communicate the annual maintenance plan to all stakeholders (HIS and client).
- Understand PLC control systems including inputs/outputs and the field-based transducers they are connected to.
Qualifications
- A strong team player with ability to work independently and on own initiative.
- Good communication skills, both with colleagues, contractors and clients.
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines safely.
- SHEQ requirement Safety Rules.
- PFW acceptor trained.
- Manual handling training.
- COSHH awareness training.
- CPCS safety passport or equivalent.
- Maintenance qualification (City & Guilds part 3 / NVQ level 3 in Mechanical discipline).
- Approach work positively with a can-do attitude.
- Act on own initiative without being prompted.
- See all work through to completion.
- Self-motivated to identify improvements within the work area and implement them successfully.
- Support improvements in own areas.
- Must comply with face-fitted dust mask rules and be clean shaven at all times on site due to health and safety risks.
