Job Overview
Business Development Manager – Apprenticeship Programmes (Hybrid / Remote UK-wide). Base salary £40,000–£50,000 with uncapped commission up to £70,000 OTE.
Responsibilities
- Respond to business-generated opportunities and engage employers to drive learner starts on apprenticeship courses and online programs.
- Provide expert guidance on apprenticeship levy and funding options to advise and support clients.
- Facilitate seamless handovers to Operations and L&D Departments.
- Generate and develop leads into new clients using systems, data and available technologies alongside personal acumen.
- Prepare proposals and contracts that meet stakeholder budgets and expectations.
- Manage existing client accounts to build strong relationships and achieve repeat business.
- Attend networking events and industry developments to discover new business leads.
- Cross-sell and upsell product solutions for maximum client benefit.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Client Solutions and Finance teams to ensure client satisfaction and financial health.
- Achieve individual and team targets on monthly, quarterly, and annual bases.
- Maintain accurate sales records for effective tracking and analysis.
- Communicate customer feedback internally to foster continuous improvement.
- Provide responsive support to internal and external queries, demonstrating exceptional service delivery.
- Support the Head of Client Solutions with administrative and project support as needed.
- Perform other ad-hoc duties in line with business needs.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role in the apprenticeship sector.
- Consultative, solution-focused sales approach.
- Strong network of contacts across LinkedIn and other sources.
- Ability to work independently and as a team player.
- Experience in outbound sales environments, self-driven and results-oriented.
