As a Kitchen Porter, you are the absolute backbone of The Jamie Oliver Cookery School & Cafe. You will be responsible for providing top‑tier, proactive back‑of‑house support to our teaching team, ensuring that deliveries and equipment are dealt with rapidly and efficiently. You'll be part of an epic team, working closely with the School & Cafe Chefs to keep our beautiful London sites running like clockwork. Responsibilities
- Cleaning: Take ownership of the pot wash areas. You'll be smashing through dishes, tackling the heavy‑duty cleaning, and maintaining the highest standard of cleanliness and upkeep of our equipment.
- Site Upkeep & Management: Ensure daily, weekly, and monthly deep cleaning duties are completed, keeping our beautiful sites gleaming.
- In-Class Support: Help the Teaching Chefs set up and clean down their classes swiftly, and support the teaching team with the preparation of ingredients and equipment. Don't wait to be asked—anticipate what the team needs next.
- FOH Cafe Support: Jump in to support the Front of House team during busy cafe service. You'll proactively clear plates, wipe down and turn tables with speed and efficiency, and ensure the cafe floor looks just as spotless and welcoming as your kitchen.
- Organization & Efficiency: Be responsible for Goods In, maintaining immaculately clean and well‑organised food stores and fridges.
- Safety & Standards: Ensure all basic COSHH, food hygiene, personal hygiene, and health & safety regulations are always adhered to. Support with the completion of daily kitchen documentation.

- Proactivity: You are always one step ahead. You have a thorough understanding of assigned task standards and company policies relating to fire, hygiene, and COSHH, and you execute them without needing to be micromanaged.
- High Standards: Represent the company's high standards of personal presentation and behaviour at all times.
- Speed & Efficiency: Demonstrate highly efficient time keeping, presentation, and workflow—you know how to hustle during a busy class without dropping your standards.
