We are currently looking to hire a Senior Civil Engineer to join our team working in the HV, Energy, and Renewable sector. The role will be based on a project in Scotland and will involve managing the civil and electrical components of the project from tender to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Review tender documents and electrical requirements and prepare an energy & utilities tender package.
- Assist the commercial department in selecting a preferred subcontractor based on tender responses.
- Coordinate with electrical and civil designers to ensure civil designs meet requirements.
- Interface with the client and client processes for civil design and works.
- Review and quality control designs before issuance to the client.
- Manage the civil subcontractor project package and project manage the civil subcontractor.
- Work closely with the project PM to capture variations and notify the project QS.
- Ensure compliance with client management systems and contract documentation.
- Manage civil sub consultants and contractors and deliver projects safely and on time.
Qualifications
- Degree in Civil, Energy or Renewable Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience as a Civil Engineer in a Tier 1 or 2 main contractor.
- Experience in setting out, design coordination & AutoCAD.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritise workload and influence colleagues at all levels.
- Willing to travel.
