We are looking for an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer to join our successful consultancy team based in Eltham, South East London, with potential for Project Team Leader responsibilities. The successful candidate will help drive the delivery of our mechanical services, collaborating with our architectural, building, and quantity surveying groups to deliver projects throughout their life cycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Senior Engineers with project design and delivery.
- Understand client needs and regulations; design building services and keep clear project records.
- Create designs that meet regulations and company standards.
- Work with other team members on design coordination.
- Prepare specifications, drawings and schedules for mechanical services.
- Get design work checked by Senior Engineers before release.
- Conduct site surveys and assist with testing and commissioning.
- Share knowledge and help train junior colleagues.
- Assist with budget estimates, cost planning and tenders.
- Attend meetings and help prepare minutes if needed.
- Manage and carry out daily project tasks.
- Lead and manage projects and project teams to ensure successful outcomes.
Qualifications
- Relevant Mechanical Engineering Degree.
- Chartered or working towards CIBSE membership.
- Minimum 2 years post‑qualification experience.
- Experience in a consultancy environment.
- Associate Member of CIBSE.
- Lived in the UK for a minimum of 3 years (due to vetting requirements).
