Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the day‑to‑day leadership of the residential home, providing a safe, nurturing and trauma‑informed environment for children aged 6‑17 years.
- Support the Registered Manager in running the home and ensuring high standards of care, quality and compliance with legislation.
- Lead, support and develop a team of Senior Managers and Residential Support Workers, fostering continuity, stability and positive outcomes for children.
- Help shape the future of the home and ensure the facility meets all relevant legislation, including Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.
- Collaborate with other senior staff to develop and maintain effective policies, procedures and best practice care plans.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience at a Children's Home Deputy Manager level or senior role within a residential children's home.
- Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations (SCCIF), safeguarding practices and quality standards.
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) required.
- Level 5 Leadership & Management qualification desirable; fully supported if not yet achieved.
- Confident, calm and child‑centred leadership style with the ability to motivate teams.
- Experience managing shift rotas and basic budget awareness.
- Full UK driving licence.
