Salary: £63,586.70 (gross) per annum inclusive of London Weighting, with a fixed sum allowance of £1,195. There is the ability to progress to £70,394.81 over the next 2 years. Current employees in banding 44-48 will maintain their existing salary.
Office: Parliament and Political Office (Permanent)
Responsibilities:
- The Head of PLP Support will be responsible for leading effective training and support for all members of the PLP in the Houses of Parliament, including the Cabinet and frontbench, to enable them to deliver as part of the Labour Government.
- Working closely with the PLP Secretary, the Political Office, party departments and MPs, the Head of PLP Support will ensure the PLP are effective campaigners, deliver on the political strategy, address stakeholder challenges, and maintain briefings, campaign materials, tools, groups and events to the highest standards.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Excellent knowledge of the Party’s programme and current affairs and the ability to identify and facilitate political engagement.
- Substantial experience coordinating events and training with political stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to execute excellent written and verbal briefings and training modules.
- Knowledge of how to coordinate work across large organisations.
