The predicted salary is between 50000 - 60000 £ per year.

The ABP UK Group Technical Compliance Manager will ensure robust technical compliance across all retail and primary sites by conducting governance audits, tracking corrective actions and supporting sites with both internal and external audits. Also provides flexible technical and systems support across the group while maintaining accurate compliance reporting for SMT.

The role involves:

  • To undertake governance audits of all primary and retail sites throughout each 12-month period.
  • In line with sites audit scores, undertake additional audits for those whose score highlight this is necessary.
  • To liaise with the Group Technical Systems and Support Manager to ensure all issues raised at governance audits are logged on a dashboard and can be shared with sites.
  • Conduct follow up reviews with any sites who have a major NC raised. Keep a log of progress to ensure improvements are on track.
  • Undertake support visits to sites where time permits between governance audits.
  • To provide support for team shortages, helping with audits also.
  • To provide internal audit support for sites.
  • To cover the Group Technical Systems and Support Manager in their absence.
  • Provide support to sites across both functions with external audits / visits / approvals.
  • TM cover for sites where needed.
  • In exceptional circumstances, be able to undertake external audits on suppliers.
  • Set up a log of site visits, dates and reasons which may help assist resource levels and trigger reviews of this.
  • Maintain the compliance audit summary log to be able to present to HoT and SMT as and when required.
  • May expand to include other tasks relating to QMS that are not specifically listed.

Additional Requirements:

  • Flexibility to travel across UK/NI including staying away for periods of time during the week.
  • Lead auditor qualification / alternative is desirable for this role.
  • Experience of operating at TM level is required ideally within the meat industry at primary and retail operating sites.
  • Must be effective communicator, across various levels of the business.
  • Needs to be able to proactively and positively drive improvement and address compliance issues - problem solving knowledge and experience is key.
  • Site based role, home working not required.
