Role Accountabilities:
- Offloading and loading pallets of mixed chemical waste containers from curtain-sider vehicles via counterbalance forklift truck.
- Operation of a fork-lift truck for the movement of packaged materials between storage areas and processing areas.
- Ensuring packaged materials are placed into storage within bunded areas following instructions on segregation of hazards under supervision of a chemist.
- Sorting & segregation of chemical waste streams and repack/unpack waste.
- Assisting current members of staff with recycling waste across the site.
- Breaking down materials to maximise recycling.
- Using forklift truck to load lorries and move materials around site.
- Emptying bins and replacing bags in offices and factory floor.
- Will be operating various machinery.
- Will involve some degree of manual handling tasks and various other tasks.
- Working outdoors; full PPE provided.
- Assisting with plant cleaning duties & ensuring working areas are kept tidy at the end of each day.
- Training will be provided.
- Half hour break each day, plus 10 minute stop.
Candidate:
- Looking for someone with a counterbalance forklift licence and current driving licence.
- Must be willing to provide occasional cover on night shift. Night shift rate will apply.
- High level of spoken & written English.
- Willingness to work with others as part of a team.
- Application of Health & Safety standards.
- A DBS check will be required to work in areas of the site; the company will assist with this.
