About the Role
The Finance Officer supports the day‑to‑day running of the finance function, helping maintain accurate financial records and contributing to reliable monthly reporting.
Duties will include:
- Transactional Finance Support – processing supplier invoices, reconciling supplier statements, and managing finance queries through the shared inbox to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Accounts Receivable & Reconciliations – supporting customer reconciliations, assisting with debt collection activities, and performing regular bank reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy.
- Month‑End & Management Accounts – assisting with month‑end close activities, preparing supporting schedules and contributing to the production of management accounts.
- General Finance Operations – providing ad‑hoc finance support across the team while gaining exposure to broader accounting processes and continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong IT skills, including accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Exposure to management accounts preparation.
- Impeccable attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Ability to organise, prioritise, and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication skills.
- Comfortable taking ownership of own workload within a wider team.
- AAT Level 3 (or equivalent), or currently studying towards.
- Experience using Sage 200 and/or Microsoft Business Central (beneficial).
- Experience within a regulated, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or similar environment (ideal).
