We are currently recruiting for a Payroll Manager to join our team based in Fareham and lead the Payroll team. As the Payroll Manager you will be responsible for managing the Payroll team as well as a portfolio of payroll clients.
As a Payroll Manager your role will involve:
- Managing a portfolio of payroll clients
- Making timely RTI submissions
- Applying knowledge of PAYE/NIC and statutory payments, for example, SMP/SAP, SPP and SSP.
- Applying knowledge of pension schemes, including AE process and pension upload to pension providers website.
- Keeping up to date with new payroll legislation and compliance.
- Proactively liaise with HMRC and assist with technical enquiries when they arise.
- Processing manual payroll calculations.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with internal and external contacts at all levels.
- Using your own initiative to resolve issues.
- Supporting and developing a payroll team.
The ideal Payroll Manager will:
- Have experience using Sage Payroll
- Be able to demonstrate up to date knowledge of current payroll legislation.
- Have knowledge of the Construction Industry Scheme
- Be able to demonstrate attention to detail and a high concern for accuracy.
