As a Bank Senior Care Assistant at our Stanley Wilson Lodge Care Home, you will be part of a compassionate and welcoming team providing physical, emotional and social support to older people with a range of needs including dementia, physical disabilities and mental health issues.
Responsibilities
- Work alongside and mentor a team of Care Assistants to ensure outstanding care is delivered at all times.
- Report to the Home Manager and collaborate with ancillary teams and other Senior Care Assistants.
- Engage in meaningful activities with residents, promoting independence, choice, dignity and respect.
- Create person‑centred care plans and risk assessments, with regular updates and reviews.
- Support residents in all aspects of care, from personal hygiene to nutritional needs.
Qualifications and Experience
- Two years experience as a Senior Care Assistant with an NVQ 2/3 qualification in Health and Social Care.
- Experience in a nursing or care home or home care work.
- Understanding of regulatory frameworks – Care Quality Commission (CQC).
- Knowledge and practice of working with people experiencing dementia.
- Desirable: experience prompting/administering medication using an electronic e‑MAR system.
- Enthusiastic, inspiring and caring attitude.
