Responsibilities:
- Diagnose incoming laptops for defects and damage and log appropriately.
- Install a Windows operating system.
- Maintain equipment, perform specialist repairs, modifications and upgrades, and implement software/hardware enhancements within own capabilities.
- Distinguish between hardware problems and accidental damage.
- Provide neat repairs, clean devices, and ensure proper sealing. Training will be provided.
- Check work, update tickets with diagnostic results, and allocate ESD locations to repairs as part of the quality assurance process.
- Provide basic level of technical support to end users on first line if needed.
- Update tickets with relevant Easy4u status in line with repair diagnosis.
- Use customer-service skills to deal with individuals and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Communicate effectively in written English.
- Work with the Easy4u Service Platform and Helpdesk System to record items and keep customers informed of repair progress.
- Strive for quality over quantity.
Qualifications:
- Experience in the IT field desired.
- Background in repairing or building hardware.
