Salary: £42,000 per annum

Hours: Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm with a 1‑week‑in‑4 on‑call rotation

Employment: Permanent, office‑based with one remote day after probation

Responsibilities

  • Manage the medical inbox by triaging, reviewing, and coordinating all medical queries to assess suitability for flight; investigate any raised concerns.
  • Recommend suitable clinical interventions or support requirements, feed back findings to the client and, where appropriate, escalate to the Clinical Service Delivery Manager.
  • Accurately document case notes in the digital platform to enable suitable clinical guidance and intervention.
  • Provide clinical input on IPRS Aeromed overseas operations.
  • Participate actively in multidisciplinary team (MDT) discussions supporting complex cases, manifest screening and case referrals.
  • Investigate incidents, complaints, or accidents as required.
  • Support the Clinical Service Delivery Manager and Clinical Liaison Manager, deputising when necessary.
  • Provide clinical leadership, support and guidance to the clinical team.
  • Contribute to continuous development and delivery of service within Care Quality Commission (CQC) guidelines and standards.
  • Provide on‑call support for urgent out‑of‑hours enquiries on a 1‑week‑in‑4 rotation.

Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge

  • Adult Nursing BSc or equivalent NMC‑recognised qualification, OR Paramedic BSc or equivalent HCPC‑recognised qualification.
  • Relevant registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) or Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) – no investigations or suspensions current or pending.
  • Minimum of 3 years post‑qualification experience as a paramedic or nurse.
  • Evidence of policy and procedure development, clinical triage setting experience, clinical audit or quality improvement.
  • Experience in urgent/emergency care and point of clinical escalation.
  • Remote/telephone triage experience.
  • Technically literate in Microsoft 365.
  • Fluent English language skills (spoken and written).
  • Full driving licence and own transport.
  • Professional appearance and conduct.
