Salary: £32,000 - £36,000 (dependent on experience)

Role Accountabilities:

  • Fully office‑based role, no option for remote or home working.
  • Ensure full compliance with CSG Group Health & Safety policies, promoting a strong safety culture across all transport operations.
  • Plan and manage efficient, cost‑effective vehicle & personnel scheduling and routing to maximise fleet utilisation and operational productivity.
  • Work closely with the CPC Holder to ensure full transport compliance, including vehicle maintenance schedules, driver hours, tachograph management, and legal obligations.
  • Provide a high level of customer service to external and internal customers.
  • Collaborate with the other managers in the business to service their transport requirements as per the needs of the business.
  • Required to be part of an on‑call rota.
  • Lead and manage driver teams, including team meetings, performance management, holiday planning, sickness management, and disciplinary processes.
  • Ensure all driver training, certifications, and mandatory compliance requirements are maintained and up to date.
  • Produce financial reports for RBM.

The Candidate:

  • Commitment to compliance with CSG's Health & Safety standards.
  • Strong organisational skills & attention to detail.
  • Competent in the use of computer systems.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment.
  • Experience of working in a transport office.
  • Experience of working in the waste sector.
  • Familiarity with Field Service or similar work planning systems.
  • Demonstrate flexibility, enthusiasm, and a proactive approach to work within a fast‑paced transport environment.
  • Be capable of working effectively as part of a small team while also using initiative to work independently.
  • Show strong self‑motivation and the ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines, and deliver results with minimal supervision.
  • Holder of CPC Qualification or willingness to gain this.
  • Full UK driving licence.
