Glanua Industrial are seeking experienced Site Engineers to work within our project teams for the design and construction of water and wastewater infrastructure projects in the Republic of Ireland.
Responsibilities
- Supporting the Project Manager
- Managing subcontracts and junior staff
- Interpreting and implementing construction drawings, specifications and technical information
- Setting out site works
- Carrying out levelling and surveying activities
- Providing accurate dimensions, coordinates and elevations to the site team as required
- Procurement of goods and services
- Monitoring progress against the program and issuing progress reports
- Quality control
- Managing environmental, health and safety issues
- Document control, recording and transmitting information and drawings
- Preparing construction records and as-built drawings
- Attending site production meetings
- Liaising with clients, statutory bodies and stakeholders
- Ensuring work and materials conform to contract specifications and quality standards
- Implementing and monitoring health, safety and environmental regulations on site
- Maintaining quality control, raising non-conformance reports (NCRs) and producing QA documentation aligned with inspection and test plans (ITPs)
- Resolving technical queries swiftly and escalating issues that may impact progress or compliance
- Maintaining an accurate site diary with details on daily activities, progress, resources and any incidents
- Producing regular site reports, QA documentation and inspection records
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Degree in Mechanical, Civil Engineering or Project Management
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in engineering or construction work; water or wastewater experience desirable but not essential
