Responsibilities:
- Teach pupils with Education Health and Care Plans across SEN needs, with emphasis on Autistic Spectrum Disorders and related conditions.
- Support pupils to progress across the curriculum and differentiate instruction where appropriate.
- Produce pupil SEN passports; monitor academic and social communication development; contribute to provision mapping and annual reviews; prepare ILPs for students.
- Support staff training to meet pupil needs.
- Guide the work of tutors, Teaching Assistants (TAs), and Higher-Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) working with EHCP pupils.
- Provide pastoral support and guidance for all pupils.
Qualifications:
- Required: QTS or equivalent.
- Desirable: experience with needs including ASD/SEMH/SEN; proven track record of positive student outcomes; innovative, proactive approach; experience in developing lesson plans and curriculum.
