Role Accountabilities:
- Support the Fleet Engineer in ensuring the performance, safety, and reliability of fleet operations
- Use technical expertise to promote and maintain a proactive fleet engineering culture
- Assist in the investigation and resolution of fleet‑related incidents
- Help develop and maintain an effective fleet maintenance strategy
- Ensure the tanker fleet remains roadworthy, compliant, and within operating budgets
- Monitor and manage supplier performance to deliver quality, compliance, and cost efficiency
Qualifications:
- Qualifications and experience of HGV engineering and maintenance (NVQ Level 3)
- Knowledge of the operation and construction of vacuum tankers (desirable but not essential – training provided)
- Solid understanding of transport legislation, compliance, and regulations, including dangerous goods (ADR)
- Elevated level of IT literacy
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Dynamic with the ability to take initiative and manage time proactively to ensure high efficiency and output
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Full UK driving licence required
