The role
We're looking for a Personal Tax Semi Senior to join our growing Tax team in our Borehamwood office. This is a varied role where you'll support a diverse portfolio of clients, preparing personal tax returns, assisting with tax compliance matters and working closely with senior members of the team to deliver a high standard of client service. You'll have the opportunity to build your technical knowledge while developing your career within a supportive and collaborative environment.
Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Preparing annual Self Assessment tax returns for individuals, partnerships and non-resident landlords.
- Preparing tax computations, including basic Capital Gains Tax calculations.
- Managing tax compliance for clients with multi-property rental portfolios.
- Assisting with HMRC enquiries and responding to requests for information.
- Drafting correspondence to clients, HMRC and other third parties.
- Preparing and submitting forms and supporting documentation required by HMRC.
- Liaising with clients to obtain information and resolve tax-related queries.
- Supporting senior members of the team with a variety of personal tax assignments.
- Maintaining accurate client records and ensuring work is completed within agreed deadlines.

- Studying towards the ATT qualification, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Previous experience in a Personal Tax role, ideally within an accountancy practice.
- Experience preparing Self Assessment tax returns for a range of clients.
- A good understanding of personal tax compliance and HMRC processes.
- Experience using tax software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to work independently and manage your own workload effectively.
