The role involves joining our busy accountancy practice in Borehamwood. This is a varied, client‑facing role where you’ll provide accurate accounting to a diverse range of clients and assist in the development of junior staff, ensuring they have the knowledge and skills to perform their roles effectively.
Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Accounts preparation for limited companies to year‑end.
- Preparing corporation tax computations.
- Analysis of accounting data from clients’ books and records.
- Processing and reviewing year‑end journals for the larger portfolio in the team.
- Preparing control account schedules for the year‑end team.
- Liaising with various providers and statutory authorities on behalf of clients, under instruction and supervision.
- Addressing client issues by researching as appropriate under direction.
What you bring:

- Part‑Qualified ACA/ACCA or equivalent, ideally with previous experience in a medium‑sized practice.
- Sound knowledge of managerial accounting and bookkeeping services.
- Previous experience using Sage, Xero and other accounting software.
- Good knowledge of the Companies Acts and compliance.
- Good working knowledge of VAT law and compliance.
- Strong time management skills and excellent attention to detail.
- High‑level communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work autonomously and manage your own workload effectively.
