The predicted salary is between 25000 - 30000 £ per year.

This very rewarding role involves merchandising according to seasonal themes. The role will involve working on your own initiative, continuously looking for alternative ways of creating an effect/atmosphere in the store, which will help our customers to make that purchasing decision through your displays.

Visual Standards & Showroom Presentation

  • Carry out daily showroom walks to ensure the furniture floor is clean, styled, and presented to brand standards.
  • Ensure all planograms, room sets, and zoning layouts are accurate, current, and visually impactful.
  • Maintain strong lifestyle room settings that inspire customers and clearly demonstrate product use, scale, and functionality.
  • Identify and report maintenance or display issues, including damaged furniture, fixtures, lighting, or signage, to maintain a premium showroom environment.

Floor Planning & Space Management

  • Work closely with the Area VM to plan the floor for incoming furniture stock, ensuring logical placement which adheres to store planning guidelines and optimal use of space.
  • Take a proactive role in forward planning major showroom moves and seasonal changes, ensuring seasonal vitality is front and centre for the customer.
  • Plan and execute large-scale furniture moves in home store, ensuring all changes are executed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines in all areas of work.

Commercial Awareness & Product Performance

  • Monitor slow-moving furniture and accessory lines, identifying opportunities to refresh layouts, adjust room settings, or reposition products to improve sell-through.
  • Provide regular feedback to the Area VM and Store Manager on what is working visually and commercially in the showroom.
  • Balance aesthetic presentation with commercial priorities, ensuring best sellers, key ranges, and promotional items are effectively showcased.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Attend and contribute to weekly or bi-weekly VM meetings with the Area VM, aligning on standards, priorities, and upcoming ranges/seasonal launches.
  • Work collaboratively with the Store Manager and wider store team to maintain consistent visual execution, over weekends and annual leave.
  • Clearly communicate VM plans and expectations to the team, particularly during major floor changes or new range launches.

Stock, Assets & Transfers

  • Regularly check and report damaged or worn display furniture to company technicians, ensuring issues are logged and actioned promptly.
  • Create and manage stock transfers as required, supporting effective stock flow across the business.
  • Ensure display stock, props, and accessories are correctly used, maintained, and stored.
  • Ensure product pricing is accurate and clearly displayed across the showroom; support with accessory pricing when required.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Furniture/retail experience an advantage.
  • Floor display experience essential.
  • Previous achievement of creative displays an advantage.
  • Strong organisational and excellent communication skills necessary to help our retail team work with your innovation.
  • Team player, hardworking and conscientious with strong motivational skills.
