Responsibilities
- Electrical system design on ELV, LV & MV works.
- Competent in AutoCAD and AMTECH software.
- Competent in writing electrical specifications.
- Liaise with Mechanical team.
- Technical evaluation of supplier proposals to ensure quality and cost‑effectiveness.
- Integration of third‑party equipment into the overall system design.
- Vendor document review and approval to ensure adherence to project specifications.
- Provide tendering and estimation support to the Business Development team.
- Support Project Planning and Commercial Management teams.
- Ensure compliance with Contract Quality Plans to meet client and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) for electrical installations.
- Develop Health & Safety Plans for electrical work.
- Conduct risk assessments for electrical hazards.
- Ensure adherence to industry safety standards.
- Client and stakeholder engagement.
- Post‑contract documentation and handovers.
- Producing technical reports.
- Ensuring regulatory compliance.
Qualifications
- Qualified electrical engineer with post‑qualification experience in the design and construction of industrial plants.
- Desirable: 18th Edition HND.
- Level 3 NVQ Electrical qualification (desirable).
- DSEAR qualified (desirable).
- Strong communication skills at all levels.
- Knowledge of power systems up to 11kV (desirable).
- Knowledge and experience of Integrated Control and Safety Systems (ICSS).
- Understanding of current legislation and practice relating to electrical and health and safety.
- Strong IT skills.
- Hold UK Driving Licence.
