We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Production Stock Controller to join our Operations team in Aston Clinton. Reporting to the Production Planning & Stock Control Manager, you will take full responsibility for managing all onsite inventory, supporting efficient production flow and ensuring compliance with internal processes. The role involves close collaboration with production, procurement and other internal teams to maintain optimal stock accuracy and support manufacturing requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inventory Management
    • Maintain accurate stock levels of raw materials, components, and finished goods.
    • Support the production schedule through effective inventory planning.
  • Stock Control
    • Monitor all stock movements across the site.
    • Ensure materials are stored, rotated and handled correctly.
    • Reduce waste by applying FIFO and other best‑practice methods.
  • Stocktaking
    • Conduct regular stock checks and cycle counts.
    • Investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly.
    • Maintain robust and accurate inventory records.
  • Receiving and Issuing Stock
    • Issue materials to production in a timely and controlled manner.
    • Receive, inspect and correctly store inbound materials and finished goods.
  • Coordination and Communication
    • Work closely with procurement, production and other internal teams.
    • Resolve stock‑related issues quickly and effectively.
    • Ensure accurate and timely communication regarding material availability.
  • Reporting
    • Produce clear and accurate stock reports, variance reports and inventory metrics.
    • Present data confidently to support decision‑making.
  • Compliance
    • Support and promote the company’s compliance management system.
    • Ensure adherence to product compliance obligations, policies and procedures.
    • Assist with corrective actions, audit activities and maintaining compliance registers.
    • Maintain certifications and documentation where required.

Person Specification

  • Essential: GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English, Understanding of manufacturing processes, Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills, Flexible, approachable and able to work in a fast‑paced environment, Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, Strong communication skills with the ability to present data clearly.
  • Desirable: Qualifications related to manufacturing or operations, Experience in an office, production or supply planning environment.
