What You’ll Be Doing:
- Partnering & Commercial Insight: Act as a trusted partner to departmental heads, providing clear insight into monthly performance vs budget. Investigate and explain variances, challenge assumptions, and drive accountability. Support better decision-making through actionable financial analysis.
- Reporting & Board Exposure: Lead on the preparation of high-quality management reporting, including board packs. Deliver clear, concise commentary tailored for senior stakeholders. Support project-level analysis, including profitability and performance tracking.
- Forecasting & Planning: Translate pipeline/workbank data into robust financial forecasts and forward-looking insights. Support budgeting and reforecasting cycles in a dynamic environment.
- Hands-On Finance Support: Contribute to month-end close where needed, including posting journals. Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data across systems (Rock, Oracle). Bring a 'no job too small' mindset when supporting the wider finance function.
- Growth & Integration: Support the integration of acquisitions and evolving reporting structures. Help build scalable processes and improve financial visibility across the group.

What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in a Finance Business Partner or Management Accountant role, ideally with exposure to both FP&A and core accounting.
- Experience in a Private Equity-backed or high-growth environment is highly desirable.
- Strong commercial acumen with the confidence to challenge and influence senior stakeholders.
- A hands-on, adaptable approach - comfortable operating both strategically and in the detail.
- Experience producing board-level reporting and working in fast-paced environments.
Technical Skills:
- Strong Excel skills with the ability to manipulate and analyse large datasets.
- Experience with Power Query, Power BI, or similar tools is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as Oracle.
- Experience working with forecasting and planning tools.
