We have an exciting opportunity for a Care Home Activities Coordinator to join our team at Primrose Croft Care Home in Cambridge. You will be part of a compassionate and welcoming team providing physical, emotional, and social support. Your dedication, reliability, and support will make a difference every day. Excelcare is a family‑owned care home group established for over 34 years. We provide the highest standards of care to older people with a range of needs including dementia, physical disabilities, and mental health issues.
By joining us you will become part of the "family" and in return for your dedication and hard work you can expect:
- £13.45 – £14.50 per hour depending on experience and qualifications
- 30 hours per week, 10 am to 4 pm, Monday to Friday
Responsibilities
- Create and organise meaningful and engaging activities and a lifestyle programme throughout the home to enrich the lives of people living in the care home.
- Work with teams, family members, and residents to understand and implement activities and lifestyle changes that benefit individuals or groups.
- Establish partnerships with local community organisations, schools, colleges, churches, and others to expand activity options.
- Plan days out and provide knowledge of surrounding areas and external organisations.
- Offer choice and empower residents to create an enjoyable and social environment and achieve individual outcomes.
Qualifications
- Experience in a similar role or previous experience in a caring environment.
- Organised and well‑planned, with a caring nature and passion for change.
- Confident, with a fun, can‑do attitude.
- A genuine desire to improve the lives of older people.
- Excellent communication and written skills.
