FinTech Consultant – Payments & Payouts (Contract)

We are looking for an experienced FinTech Consultant to support the execution of commercial payments strategy for a major global digital travel business.
This is a hands-on role combining payments and FinTech expertise with strong commercial judgement and delivery capability. You will take ownership of initiatives from strategy through to execution, working across payments, payouts, commercial partnerships and operational delivery to drive adoption, revenue growth and improved commercial outcomes.
Experience within travel, airlines, flight payments or supplier payouts would be particularly valuable.
Key responsibilities
Drive and independently execute commercial initiatives across payments and FinTech products.
Translate commercial priorities into practical actions supporting revenue growth, partner adoption and operational efficiency.
Support initiatives across payment and payout flows, connecting operational execution with commercial outcomes.
Work closely with Product, Legal, Finance, Operations and other stakeholders to deliver commercial initiatives.
Use data, insights and commercial performance metrics to identify trends, opportunities and potential issues.
Assess partner behaviour, commercial opportunities and adoption drivers.
Own workstreams end-to-end, including timelines, documentation, stakeholder communication and follow-up.
Identify commercial risks and blockers early and proactively propose solutions.
Improve processes and ways of working to enable more efficient and scalable execution.
Operate with a high degree of ownership and autonomy in a fast-paced environment.
Experience & skills
Significant relevant experience, typically 5+ years (or equivalent), across payments, FinTech, commercial operations, partnerships or a closely related area.
Strong understanding of payments and payouts, combined with a commercial mindset.
Experience delivering commercial or payments initiatives from strategy through to practical execution.
Understanding of revenue drivers, partner economics and commercial trade-offs.
Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience working across multidisciplinary teams.
Comfortable working with data, insights and commercial performance metrics.
Highly proactive, organised and able to operate independently.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate issues and propose commercially sound solutions.
Experience within travel, airlines, flight payments or supplier payouts is highly desirable.
A degree in Business, Finance, Economics or a related discipline is preferred.
