About the role

Occupational Health Staffing are looking to recruit a Wellbeing Physiologist to work in Wolverhampton & Castle Bromwich + Travel on a full time permanent basis. Flexibility to travel required.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver lifestyle clinical assessments of patients.
  • Conduct one-to-one and group based health and wellbeing interventions.
  • Provide tailored evidence-based advice based on the patient’s health profile (adiposity, biochemistry, blood screening) and behavioural change stages.
  • Formulate and implement action plans according to treatment prescriptions and change stages.
  • Support patients with lifestyle-induced diseases in making sustainable lifestyle choices for chronic condition management by offering best practice guidance on nutrition and exercise to employees.
  • Use specialised equipment for clinical physiological tests, record and analyse data.
  • Interpret clinical data, assess clinical risk, and elevate to GP or OH practitioners if needed.

Qualifications

  • Qualified to degree level or equivalent in Sports Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, or related fields such as human physiology, exercise, biochemistry, anatomy/biomechanics, psychology or nutrition.
  • Previous experience in sport, medical, health, wellbeing or fitness environments.
  • Understanding of workplace health risks, experience delivering health assessments and interventions, and ability to adapt exercises to suit individual needs, including those with injuries, chronic illnesses, or disabilities.
  • Full UK licence and access to a personal vehicle essential.
