Occupational Health Technician/Trainee Huddersfield + Travel

Overview

Occupational Health Staffing are looking to recruit an Occupational Health Technician to work in Huddersfield and travel on a full‑time permanent basis. This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic and reliable individual to expand their skills and experience in a supportive environment, where you’ll be given a 3‑week training and induction programme with ongoing mentoring and support from the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive and operate a mobile medical unit (MMU).
• Perform health surveillance, including Audiometry, Spirometry, Height, Weight, BMI, Blood Pressure, Urinalysis, Drug & Alcohol Testing.
• Travel regionally to client sites in Huddersfield, Mansfield, Chesterfield and Pontefract, and occasionally nationwide.
• Be flexible to travel with overnight stays and park the unit at or near your home address.
• Maintain a full view of the diary 6 weeks in advance.
• Accept per‑night subsistence allowance of £30, paid weekly.
• Use the Premier Inn account for booking accommodation and use the fuel card issued by the company.

Qualifications

• Experienced Occupational Health Technician with strong health surveillance skills.
• Or a graduate with a degree in Sports Science and experience as a Healthcare Support Worker, Emergency Care Assistant/Technician, Ambulance Assistant/Technician or Army Medic, having performed baseline measurements.
• Manual UK driving licence and the ability to provide a licence share code from the official government website.
• Ability to drive your own vehicle whilst the van is being prepared.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: up to £27,000 + Benefits
