Occupational Health Staffing are looking to recruit a Wellbeing Physiologist to work in Whitley, Coventry on a full-time permanent basis. Some occasional travel will be required to other sites.
Responsibilities
- Deliver evidence-based exercise sessions for individuals and groups at varying levels of fitness.
- Deliver lifestyle clinical assessments of individuals.
- Conduct individual and group health and wellbeing interventions.
- Provide tailored evidence-based advice based on the patient's health profile (adiposity, biochemistry, blood screening) and behavioural change stages.
- Formulate and implement action plans according to treatment prescriptions and change stages.
- Support patients with lifestyle‑induced diseases in making sustainable lifestyle choices for chronic condition management by offering best practice guidance on nutrition and exercise to employees.
- Use specialised equipment for clinical physiological tests, recording and analysing data.
- Interpret clinical data, assess clinical risk, and escalate to GP or OH practitioners if needed.
Qualifications
- Qualified to degree level or equivalent in Sports Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, or related fields.
- Previous experience in sport, medical, health, wellbeing or fitness environments, or studied human physiology, exercise, biochemistry, anatomy/biomechanics, psychology or nutrition.
- Understanding of workplace health risks; experience delivering health assessments and interventions.
- Ability to adapt exercises to suit individual needs, including those with injuries, chronic illnesses, or disabilities.
- Full UK licence and access to a personal vehicle.
