Occupational Health Staffing is recruiting an Occupational Health Technician to work in Chelmsford and travel on a full‑time permanent basis. The role involves a 3‑week training and induction programme, ongoing mentoring, and support from the team.
Responsibilities
- Drive a mobile medical unit (MMU).
- Conduct health surveillance measurements, including:
- Audiometry
- Spirometry
- Height, Weight, BMI
- Blood pressure
- Urinalysis
- Drug & Alcohol testing
- Undertake regional and occasional nationwide travel, including overnight stays.
- Park the unit near the client site or home address.
- Manage diary up to six weeks in advance.
- Receive £30 subsistence per night away, paid weekly; access Premier Inn account; receive a fuel card.
Qualifications
- Experience as an Occupational Health Technician with strong health surveillance skills, or a sports science degree holder with experience as a Healthcare Support Worker, Emergency Care Assistant/Technician, Ambulance Assistant/Technician, or Army Medic with baseline measurement experience.
- Manual UK driving licence and ability to provide a licence share code.
- Ability to drive own vehicle while van is prepared.
- Graduates seeking first role in healthcare with baseline measurement experience.
