OccuMed is recruiting a Peripatetic Occupational Health Technician to deliver high-quality occupational health services to clients across England. This is a permanent, full-time role (37.5 hours per week), ideal for individuals who enjoy working independently, travelling, and contributing to workplace health and wellbeing.
The Occupational Health Technician will be responsible for delivering health surveillance, fitness for work medicals, and drug & alcohol testing in both mobile and static clinic environments. Acting as a professional representative of OccuMed, the role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering excellent client service. This position involves regular nationwide travel, including overnight stays, and the use of company mobile units. Full training is provided, making this an excellent opportunity for candidates with transferable healthcare or sports science backgrounds, as well as those with existing occupational health experience.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing and maintaining mobile health units and equipment
- Completing accurate clinical and administrative records
- Managing stock and logistics
- Supporting health promotion activities
- Triage surveillance data for escalation to Occupational Health Advisors/Physicians where required
- Contributing to service improvement and clinical governance activities
OccuMed welcomes applications from candidates with Sports Science degrees, Occupational Health Technician experience, EMT backgrounds, or nursing qualifications (with vaccination duties available for trained nurses). A full clean UK driving licence is essential.
