ABOUT OC&C

OC&C is a global strategy consulting firm, founded in 1987 in London. We are continuing to expand rapidly and are looking for the most talented graduates to join our growing cohorts in the London office.

Our people are agile thinkers from a variety of backgrounds, united by constant curiosity and a desire to work together to solve problems. Each client challenge is unique, so instead of relying on generic solutions, we break down a problem using our philosophy of ‘uncommon sense’ until we find its root.

Our London office is looking for Associate Consultants to join the analytics team – a key source of the strategic advice we provide to our clients. As our clients' data is becoming increasingly big and complicated, the need for high quality statistical analysis is growing rapidly. OC&C is regularly tasked with problems where the answers are hidden in large, messy and complex data sets such as transaction data, customer-behaviour data and web data. The analytics practice works as both technical experts and strategy consultants to unearth insights, identify recommendations and communicate them persuasively to our clients. Analytics is therefore an increasingly important part of what OC&C does and is growing rapidly as a practice.

WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT

  • Our strategy and M&A focus – we provide advice to our clients on where to play and how to win, in our key sectors of Retail, Leisure & Hospitality; Consumer Goods; Technology & Media; B2B Products & Services; and Private Equity.
  • Our people – at OC&C our people are at the heart of everything we do & we work hard to ensure we are a workplace that encourages everyone to flourish, irrespective of background.
  • Our culture – we foster an entrepreneurial environment and we all play a role in building the firm, through participation in various task teams to drive forward change.
  • Our values – we are dedicated to creating positive change for the world around us.
  • Our global opportunities - we deliver insights to clients across the globe and many of our projects have cross-office teams.

About The Candidate

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Logical and analytical thinkers who enjoy working with datasets and statistics, can interpret quantitative information and use it to solve complex problems and draw meaningful insights.
  • Experience with one or more programming languages – Python is preferred.
  • A strong academic record, ideally with a degree in Analytics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or another quantitative field.
  • Curious and structured problem-solvers who can identify what matters most, think critically about assumptions and evidence, and are comfortable working through ambiguity.
  • Commercially curious individuals who are interested in understanding business problems and turning analysis into practical recommendations.
  • Clear and confident communicators who can explain complex ideas and analytical findings logically and accessibly, both verbally and in writing.
  • Collaborative team players who build strong relationships, value different perspectives and are open to feedback.
  • Proactive and adaptable learners who take ownership of their work, show initiative and are keen to learn quickly and apply new knowledge.
  • Motivated, resilient and hard-working individuals who are always keen to get to the best answer.

Right to Work in the UK: Successful candidates must have the right to work in the UK by the time they join. We have a limited number of visa sponsorships available for this graduate role.
