We work for senior executives, providing solutions to some of the most exciting strategic problems in consulting today. We work across sectors, but specialise in Retail, Consumer Goods, Tourism & Leisure, Media & Technology, and Private Equity. We offer a differentiated proposition: a strong focus on strategy, less travel, and more ownership in a fast-growing office with an entrepreneurial mentality. Due to growth, we are looking for Managers to join our team in Germany.

Responsibilities

  • Leading strategy and diligence projects, from designing the approach to overseeing analysis to synthesising findings.
  • Leading OC&C project teams (typically 3-6 people on a project), including helping team members develop consulting skills.
  • Building strong working relationships with client contacts during projects, and beginning to build a personal network.
  • Supporting sector team efforts to reinforce OC&C’s position as leaders in strategy consultancy in our chosen areas.
  • Direct and manage the analysis, design, proposal, implementation and ongoing delivery of consulting projects, ensuring customer satisfaction and customer results.
  • Translate strategy and business needs into actionable recommendations.
  • Deliver against deadlines.
  • Assist in client pitches and help with developing client relationships.
  • Rapidly gain acceptance within the company and clients as a strong, professional manager with clear thought leadership.
  • Support the development of IP (in the form of publications, conference presentations, etc).

Qualifications

  • Outstanding track record of problem-solving and achieving/exceeding objectives in a project-based environment, with the equivalent of 5 years’ experience of complex strategy consulting projects, including experience from a blue chip and/or strategy consultancy group.
  • Experience of managing workstreams and leading consulting teams.
  • Analytical clear thinker who can recognise critical issues and dedicate attention accordingly; a highly numerate individual, who is hypothesis and issue driven.
  • A pragmatic, enthusiastic and structured implementer with an ability to create and maintain pace whilst ensuring that energies are well focussed and channelled.
  • A true appreciation for rigour.
  • Commercially aware, able to recognise critical issues and dedicate attention accordingly.
  • Very strong communication skills required for internal and external communication.
  • Credible at Board level with the ability to relate well to clients and colleagues.
  • High business ethics: honesty, respect for the individual and culturally unbiased.
  • Down to earth, friendly and approachable.

Language requirements: Business fluency in German and English.
