OC&C is a global strategy consulting firm, working with senior executives across the world on some of the most exciting strategic problems and questions. We specialise in Technology, Media, Retail, FMCG, B2B and B2C Services, and Private Equity.
We pride ourselves on combining sector expertise with a bespoke approach to every engagement, working collaboratively to generate new insight and lasting impact, with opportunities for the personal development of all our team. We are committed to fostering an inclusive culture in which people of all backgrounds can thrive. We encourage applications from all, regardless of age, sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression, transgender status, disability, marital status, pregnancy or maternity, religion or belief, race or ethnic origin, and socioeconomic background. We also have a number of staff network groups which actively support the inclusion of all of our colleagues in the firm.
The firm is accelerating adoption of productivity and quality tools and ways of working to improve the productivity, quality and leverage of consulting delivery. The Knowledge and Product team is focusing significantly on AI-based tooling and workflows and is evolving from early experimentation into a repeatable portfolio and adoption engine: identifying and evaluating tools, running controlled pilots and red teams, and scaling proven practices by role and task. This new role is to lead the learning, best-practice sharing and adoption workstream so that AI capability translates into consistent project impact across offices.
About The Candidate
Purpose and Scope: The post-holder owns the adoption and behaviour-change workstream for consulting tools and AI-enabled consulting workflows. They convert approved tools and validated workflows (including outputs from pilots and Red Teams) into firm-wide behaviour change, leveraging role/task playbooks, the Champion and AI Office Leads networks, targeted communications, capability tracking and adoption metrics to scale impact across offices. The role works closely with Product Managers, AI Labs / Red Teaming, Learning & Development and consulting leadership. It is accountable for scalable adoption.
This role:
- Owns scalable adoption, enablement and capability building.
- Supports business cases with adoption and benefit evidence.
- Propagates Red Team learning into the business; AI Labs / Red Teaming retains ownership of experiment design and delivery.
- Identifies where the AI learning curriculum needs to evolve and partners with L&D to keep it current; create quick-reference guides or training where necessary to facilitate adoption and impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adoption strategy and behaviour change - define priority role/task combinations, adoption cohorts and rollout paths for approved tools and AI-enabled workflows; design and deliver the behaviour-change interventions needed to embed them as firm-wide practice.
- Learning curriculum currency - identify where AI capability needs to be embedded or refreshed across induction, core consulting training, Manager/AP programmes and refresh modules, and commission updates through L&D.
- Playbooks and performance support - create practical guides, prompt packs, FAQs, examples, office-hour materials and support guides that make safe use repeatable.
- Champion and AI Lead networks - run the cadence, agendas and materials for AI Office Leads and Champions; use these groups to propagate best practice and collect local feedback.
- Pilot-to-scale handover - translate tool pilots and Red Team outputs into adoption-readiness plans, training assets and practical deployment guidance.
- Communications and engagement - maintain a regular communication rhythm through MyOC&C (intranet) updates, Teams channels, launch packs, and stakeholder briefings and coordinate with Comms team to ensure effective cascade across the business.
- User feedback and voice of customer - run surveys, interviews, project retrospectives and pulse checks; synthesise pain points, feature requests and adoption barriers for the product backlog.
- Measurement and benefit realisation - define and maintain adoption KPIs covering usage, capability, training completion, quality signals, feedback themes and realised value.
- Agentic AI readiness - prepare change-management and adoption plans for more agentic tools as they become safe and useful for consulting workflows.
- Governance alignment - ensure adoption materials reflect security, privacy, legal and usage constraints agreed through the firm’s risk committee, IT and other governance routes.
- Stakeholder influence - engage Partners, Managers, APs and project teams constructively; challenge requests where they do not support the agreed portfolio priorities or adoption model.
Key Skills, Competencies and Experience
Required Experience:
- Experience leading adoption, change management or transformation programmes — ideally in consulting, professional services or another partnership/knowledge-worker environment.
- Track record of scaling new ways of working across senior and junior audiences, ideally in a partnership or matrix environment.
- Experience designing adoption interventions for knowledge workers — role/task playbooks, performance support, Champion networks, communications and feedback mechanisms; comfortable commissioning and shaping training assets in partnership with L&D without owning curriculum design or delivery.
- Working knowledge of behaviour-change and adoption frameworks (e.g. ADKAR, Prosci or equivalent) and how to apply them in a partnership or matrix environment.
- Familiarity with AI tools (including, preferably, Agentic) and their risks; deep technical expertise is not mandatory, but technical fluency and curiosity are essential.
- Strong facilitation, written communication and stakeholder-influence skills, including confidence with senior audiences.
- Ability to use data and feedback to measure adoption, diagnose barriers and prioritise next actions.
- Project and programme management discipline: plans, owners, dependencies, risks, actions, decisions and reporting.
