We have the pre-eminent strategy consulting team in Retail, Leisure & Tourism (RLT), growing rapidly and winning with our distinctive points of view on key topics. We work with leading RLT players both in the UK and abroad on the most important strategy questions they face. Our team regularly collaborates internationally and works closely with our analytics team for our corporate, investor and financing clients.
Responsibilities:
- Direct, manage the analysis, design, proposal, implementation and ongoing delivery of consulting projects, ensuring customer satisfaction and customer results.
- Lead OC&C project teams (typically 3-6 people on a project), including assisting team members to develop consulting skills.
- Assist in client pitches and help with developing client relationships.
- Rapidly gain acceptance within the company and clients as a very strong, professional manager who can provide clear thought leadership.
- Translate strategy and business needs into deliverable designs.
- Support sector team efforts to reinforce OC&C's position as leaders in strategy consultancy in our chosen areas.
Experience & Qualifications:
- 4+ years' experience gained within an external strategy consultancy.
- Excellent leadership capabilities and experience managing teams of 3+.
- Experience within RLT and/or closely related sectors.
- Structured, hypothesis-driven problem solver with strong analytical rigour and a track record delivering commercial due diligence, transaction support, and Retail, Leisure or Travel strategy projects.
- Pragmatic, delivery-focused communicator with high professional integrity, strong organisational skills, and the credibility to influence senior clients and colleagues in a collaborative, inclusive manner.
- Strong academics and an outstanding track record of achieving and exceeding objectives.
