Excellent opportunity for a 2nd Line Support Engineer to join a leading provider of IT services in their service operations team. Working on cutting-edge solutions to support critical operations and infrastructure. This would suit an experienced and talented second line support engineer, to ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of infrastructure.
As a key member of the technical team, you will provide essential support to maintain operational readiness. Responsibilities include:
- Dealing with P1 incidents as the first point of contact
- Experienced at ticketing systems
- Great at troubleshooting incidents around networking, hardware, software, and cloud services
- Liaising with vendors and third-party providers, resolving issues to agreed SLAs
- Patching, patch management, and patch systems & software experience is essential
Strong commercial working experience as an IT Support Engineer with ITIL V3/4 foundation or above, CompTIA, and Microsoft certification is required. Due to this being a technical support role, you will need to have excellent communication skills, responding to and resolving complex IT issues in a timely manner, providing efficient solutions to maintain a high standard.
This is a busy, collaborative Agile team working onsite in Stoke. Preference for someone who has worked in an MSP and is familiar with common service desk technologies such as Windows OS, Server, and Microsoft 365. Networking knowledge including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls, and service management tools like ServiceNow and JIRA is beneficial.
