As a Manager of Product Discovery, you will have responsibility for the management, coordination, and implementation of the Product Discovery strategy on the site, ensuring enhancements to the customer experience, ultimately driving conversion.
This role ensures we are delivering best-in-class product discovery, allowing customers to shop more easily, whilst driving our commercial results.
What You\βll Do
- Strategic planning for product discovery, focusing on identifying opportunities to improve the overall customer shopping experience. Working across teams to identify customer pain points to then implement change.
- Optimize and drive a strategic plan for search, identifying issues and problem-solving to drive an improved search experience and overall conversion. Creating and maintaining guidelines and processes to drive consistency of customer experience through product delivery.
- Ownership of end-to-end planning and execution of seasonal plans to optimize search.
- Make insightful trade-offs and prioritization decisions into how to spend your time to optimize merchandising and product discovery.
- Lead the brilliant basics plan, creating the methodology and driving stakeholder engagements, resource allocation, and roadmap development that support project requirements.
- Conduct external research and internal analysis to shape and lean into the product discovery roadmap, working across Product & Proposition roles as well as Group to continually optimize features and algos.
- Creating, implementing, deploying, and maintaining taxonomies (hierarchical classifications of information) to structure content and improve search.
- Lead the review strategy and manage day-to-day relationship with our third-party reviews provider.
- Lead the team, through coaching, guidance, and challenge, to carry out daily E2E site walks across all key landing pages, including the Homepage, PDP, CLP, PLP, & offer pages to ensure primary tagging represents what good looks like.
- Continual best practice monitoring and sharing of recommendations, within the Merchandising and overall Ecommerce team.
- Be a leader in driving high-performing teams, directly managing a team that carries out the administrative efforts to run our site, whilst driving team engagement.
Requirements
- You will be an experienced leader, with experience in an online or e-commerce role, within a retail business.
- Customer-focused, with a great commercial acumen and understanding.
- Strong analytical and data skills.
- Highly organized with a collaborative working style, able to influence at a senior leadership level.
- Excellent communication skills and a good decision-maker.
- It would be great if you have a strong market awareness of technologies and tools within the customer experience and product discovery space.
