Delivery Driver – Merton

Morden, Surrey – £13.95 per hour (base rate) – Full Time – Permanent – Contracted hours: 40 hours (including paid breaks).

Join Ocado Logistics where we deliver high‑quality groceries on time, providing an outstanding customer experience. We use automated technology to pre‑plan routes and pre‑load your van, so you can focus on the road and our customers.

Your working pattern will involve evenings and weekends in addition to weekdays, with shift times ranging from 05:30 to 12:00. Premium Pay is available for evening and Sunday shifts, and you can further increase earnings through overtime.

What we need from you

  • Full UK or EU driving licence
  • Minimum 6 months driving experience (12 months desirable)
  • Maximum 6 penalty points
  • No driving disqualifications in the past 5 years
  • Minimum age 18 (for alcohol delivery)
  • Good communication skills (customer facing)

We provide onboarding training, so previous driving experience is not required. We will carry out necessary checks, including Online Licence Check, Right to Work checks, Disclosure Barring System (DBS) check, and a Disclosure Barring System check.

Contract details

Permanent full‑time contract, 40 hours per week including paid breaks. You will work any 4 days out of 7, with 10‑hour shifts. Shift rota is released up to 13 weeks in advance. Pay is lunar – paid every 4 weeks according to a monthly schedule.

  • Monday‑Saturday (Basic Rate) £13.44
  • Evening premium (from 6 pm) £1.12
  • Sunday day premium £1.34
  • Sunday evening premium £2.58
  • Overtime Monday‑Saturday (Day Shift) £16.80
  • Overtime Monday‑Saturday (Evening Shift) £18.20
