At Ocado Logistics , we're powering the future of online grocery logistics. We're looking for two experienced Payroll Advisers ready to take the next step - to own a large payroll (around 12,000 colleagues) and play a key role in transforming how we deliver pay across Ocado Logistics. This is your chance to move beyond payroll processing into true payroll ownership and improvement .
What you'll be doing
- Managing the end-to-end payroll process for your assigned payroll area (approx. 12,000 colleagues)
- Delivering accurate, compliant payrolls and all associated reporting
- Owning HMRC submissions, reconciliations, and third-party payments
- Supporting incentive payments, pensions, bonuses, and supplementary payrolls
- Ensuring compliance with all HMRC, GDPR, and internal control standards
- Partnering with People, Finance, and external providers to deliver a seamless colleague experience
What we're looking for
- Proven end-to-end UK payroll experience, ideally within a medium or large business with hourly-paid staff
- Oracle payroll experience - essential
- Strong working knowledge of payroll legislation and statutory payments (PAYE, NI, SSP, SMP, etc.)
- Confident in Excel and data validation/reconciliation
- Detail-driven, proactive, and curious about making payroll better
- CIPP qualification (or working towards) is an advantage
- UKG experience desirable
