b Overview /b p In this role you will drive Health, Safety, Fire and Environmental compliance across Ocado’s global sites, embedding a proactive safety culture. You’ll work with the HSFE Lead and operations leadership to deliver first-line activities and practical guidance for safety improvements. The position is UK-based with travel to UK CFCs and occasional international travel. You will help design and improve HSFE processes, track metrics, and support investigations to prevent incidents. This is a hands-on role at scale, shaping safety practices in a high-tech, global operation. /p b Pay / Benefits /b ul li Hybrid and flexible working /li li Private healthcare /li li Free Shares and Life Assurance /li li 15% discount on Ocado.com shopping /li li Enhanced pension scheme with company contributions up to 7% /li li Enhanced maternity and paternity leave /li /ul b Responsibilities /b ul li Design and continuously improve the HSFE Management System /li li Drive proactive safety culture through training and site engagement /li li Identify emerging risks and design mitigation plans /li li Contribute to the annual audit and inspection schedule /li li Develop HS E KPIs and emergency preparedness activities /li li Support site inspections, audits and risk assessments with action tracking /li li Investigate accidents, incidents and near-misses to determine root causes and track corrective actions /li li Provide daily HS E guidance to managers and operational teams /li li Coordinate responses to HS E queries and escalate complex issues /li li Maintain HS E documentation and reporting to meet standards and regulatory requirements /li li Establish reporting cadences for leadership updates /li li Implement sustainable processes for safe and compliant operations /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li Solid understanding of UK health and safety legislation and its practical application in operations /li li Experience conducting risk assessments, site audits, inspections and incident investigations /li li Experience delivering HS E advice, training and guidance across a multi-site network /li li Strong knowledge of incident reporting requirements (RIDDOR) and regulatory standards /li li Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with ability to influence safety behaviors /li li Ability to produce clear, high-quality technical reports and incident trend analyses /li li NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) desirable; working towards NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) advantageous /li li Willingness to travel within the UK and internationally as needed /li /ul ul li Organized /li li Proactive and solutions-focused /li li Calm under pressure /li li Risk assessments /li li Site audits and inspections /li li Incident investigations and root cause analysis /li /ul
