Overview
In this role, you drive Ocado’s global expansion by leading end-to-end procurement for Third-Party MHE, building strategic supplier partnerships and delivering cost-efficient value to international clients. You’ll collaborate with engineering, product, and projects to align supply with design changes, while managing supplier performance and risk. You shape procurement strategy, negotiate contracts, and ensure on-time delivery and quality within budget. This role combines strategic sourcing with cross-functional delivery in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.

Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end supply and delivery for Third-Party MHE and build strategic supplier partnerships
- Manage supplier relationship activities with key suppliers and coordinate development
- Assess engineering changes with suppliers and implement changes into sourcing, negotiating and contracting
- Provide commercial data to internal project teams for business cases and decision making
- Develop, coordinate and manage key suppliers; report supplier KPIs and drive performance
- Support on-time delivery to schedule while meeting budget and quality standards
- Coordinate demand vs manufacturing requirements with stakeholders and suppliers
- Identify risks in the supply chain and mitigate them; own supply issues and resolve them
- Drive process improvements to strengthen supply chain robustness and efficiency
- Communicate with project stakeholders to align projects and expectations
- Promote best practices in procurement and supply chain and deliver continuous improvement
- Maintain understanding of product and supplier market to provide informed recommendations
Key requirements
- Proven track record in procurement and effective supplier management
- Experience sourcing and contracting MHE goods and services
- Supplier negotiation including commercial and contract terms
- Hybrid role with in-office (Hatfield) Tue & Wed and travel to supplier sites
- Ability to work in a dynamic, team-oriented, fast-paced environment
- High level of computer literacy with Microsoft Office, Google Docs and ERP software
