  • Comply with transfer pricing documentation requirements, ensuring we meet all local requirements, as well as HMRC expectations set out within Guidelines for Compliance 7.
  • Support the definition and implementation of the tax strategy and tax policies, aligned with overall business objectives and regulatory environment.
  • Act as the senior international tax advisor to business leadership, supporting strategic decision‑making and international expansion.
  • Lead the tax structuring of new market entries, working cross‑functionally with Legal, Finance, and Commercial teams.
  • Monitor, interpret, and apply international tax legislative changes and prospective changes, providing technical/business briefings as required.
  • Design, implement and establish BAU operating model to address BEPS Pillar II compliance requirements.
  • Support with the preparation, technical review, and submission of CbCR and Public CbCR filing requirements.
  • Ensure all international tax obligations are fulfilled, working closely with Finance colleagues and external advisors (where relevant).
  • Management of outsource providers, oversee tax authority engagement and manage international tax controversy matters.
  • Deliver international tax aspects of half‑year and year‑end reporting.
  • Provide tax related guidance to the wider business across all relevant processes (e.g., employment, procurement, supply chain).
  • Support with tax related queries and be a ‘go to’ contact for international tax matters.
  • Develop and deliver training to the business to support (i) tax risks of operating internationally; and (ii) understanding of and compliance with tax policies and standards.
  • Support transformation and business change activities with tax expertise and guidance.
  • Seek to identify and implement process efficiencies (continuous improvement mindset), increasing standardisation, simplification, and automation.
  • Consistently champion Ocado’s values and supporting the personal development of team members in order to progress team understanding and roles.

Qualifications

  • Qualified ACA or equivalent and /or CTA with 10+ years PQE.
  • Experience of working in a broad international tax environment, researching new territories and monitoring tax developments.
  • Experience of designing, implementing and maintaining TP Operating Models, and maintaining filing requirements.
  • Experience of communicating complex tax issues to non‑tax stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and act on your own initiative.
  • Mindset for continuous learning for themselves, the tax team and the wider Finance community.
